The 2027 U20 Asian Cup qualifiers concluded with all 16 finalists confirmed for the finals in China. Southeast Asia will be represented by three teams: Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia. Vietnam, along with Cambodia, Hong Kong, Laos, Bangladesh and the Philippines, will not feature in the 2029 U20 Asian Cup qualifiers. Instead, they will play in the development round alongside Nepal, the Northern Mariana Islands, Bhutan, Macau, Sri Lanka and Brunei. South Korea are the most successful team with 12 titles, Iraq have won five times, Iran four, Saudi Arabia three, while Japan, Uzbekistan and Indonesia have each lifted the trophy once.
